Downtown Gathering Space
National Disaster Resilience Program
Goal: Create a "Public Gathering Space"
As part of the HUD National Disaster Resilience Competition Application, the City of Minot is looking to establish at lest one "Public Gathering Space". This space can be utilized in many ways; from concerts, to parks, streets fairs, etc. The goal is to create a space that could improve the neighborhood it sits. For example, a public gathering space in Minot's Downtown would help drive traffic to the heart of the city and allow space to host events. This could help boast commerce.
Another example could be a space within a neighborhood. This space would be best suited for a recreational use. Improving the energy and environment for the adjacent community.
Main Street Square, Rapid City S.D.
